Pot Decoration using Tiny Glitter Bits

Pot Decoration using Tiny Glitter Bits
Well, to begin with, I am always fascinated with pottery, lots of pots in different shapes and sizes. Moreover, I like the tiny pottery they make nowadays, it amazes me. I love to collect these round earthen pots, also called as matkas in Hindi. These pots are small in size and sold with a frozen Indian dessert 'kulfi' therefore they are called matka kulfi.

I had a collection of these tiny glitter bits. These glitters are used for birthday and wedding parties. They are filled into the party poppers or sometimes into balloons. And so by popping the poppers or bursting the balloons, comes a glittery shower. Children love collecting these bits during these above occasions mentioned.

I applied some craft glue to the entire earthen pot on the outside. And then I rolled the pot across the glitter bits which I placed on the newspaper. I made sure that most of the glitters were stuck to the pot. Yet, some empty spaces did remain , of which I did a touch up later. I have decorated the pot on the outside only and have left the inside as it is.

So here you go with my glittery pot. I have done more paintings and some kinds of pot arts with these round earthen pots. I would like to pen them down in separate posts. So I have listed these under a label called pot art, so if you would like to check out some art related to pots click on Pot Art.
